lori.jpgLori Shagla (Strzelec), founder and president of Strategic Business Dynamics, LLC has been actively engaged in staffing, recruiting and business development for over two decades. As an entrepreneurial leader, she is an expert in building top-producing business relationships with customers, candidates and business partners worldwide.

Prior to striking out on her own, Ms. Shagla held a variety of sales, marketing and business development positions first with TRW Bearings Division and later with Bush Industries, Inc. with responsibilities for large key accounts such as Sikorsky Helicopter, Sears, Roebuck & Co. and JC Penney, Inc. She founded Shagla's Temporary Personnel Services, Inc. which later became Shagla's Business Services, Inc. in 1989, as a full service employment agency offering direct hire placement, payroll services and contract staffing which grew to three locations and over 2500 full time employees with average annual sales of $6 million over the course of 14 years. Ms. Shagla built this highly successful employment placement business "from the ground up", with initial operations conducted in Jamestown, NY from the kitchen of Nicolina Shagla, her mother and business partner.

As president, Ms. Shagla retained complete responsibility for defining organizational culture, developing strategic plans, and positioning Shagla's Business Services, Inc. as the leading, proactive partner and human resources consultant to operations and business units throughout the United States. In this capacity, Ms. Shagla led recruiting and selection for employees at all levels growing a staff from 10 to 1100 by 1994. Additionally, she spearheaded an aggressive account development program, growing their client base by 90% to capture and maintain 99% of the local market share.

Ms. Shagla is known within the industry as pioneer in account management programs which focused on customer needs assessment, solutions selling strategies, and long term support to protect against competition. In 1996, in response to growing demand she launched Shagla's Employment Services, Inc. in Erie, PA, which immediately added 800 new employees and $1.5 Million in new revenue. Again, in response to increased demand, in 1998, Ms. Shagla opened Shagla's Employment Services of the Southern Tier, Inc. in Olean NY which immediately employed 275 people, generating $350,000 in additional sales.

Ms. Shagla is well known for her expertise in delivering revenue gains, performance improvement, and organizational development for start-up, high growth and multi-site operations. Prompted by both clients and colleagues to escalate her knowledge and extensive background to a new level, Ms. Shagla formed Strategic Business Dynamics, LLC, (SBDLLC) in 2000, an innovative, full service firm specializing in commercial real estate, business and economic development, recruiting and temporary staffing, and outsourced bookkeeping applications. Ms. Shagla utilizes her expertise within these areas to successfully assist companies of all types to expand or relocate their business by specializing in site selection, staffing, and incentive availability. Ms. Shagla has been instrumental in combining this unique blend of experience in staffing and commercial real estate, key components to any company interested in expansion and relocation to advise and coordinate on an individualized basis, a network of business and economic development partners to bring together qualified personnel to successfully meet the needs, demands and requirements of those companies, provide buildings and shovel ready sites, as well  as facilitate the procurement of incentives to close the deal. Ms. Shagla is also a licensed New York State Real Estate Broker, currently serving as an Associate Broker with CB Richard Ellis/Buffalo Office, (http://www.cbre.com/USA/US/NY/Buffalo/ ) a CB Richard Ellis partner office as well as the world's leading commercial real estate services firm.

Ms. Shagla holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from St. Bonaventure University. She has been professionally affiliated with a wide variety of organizations including the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), National Association of Temporary and Staffing Services (NATSS), and the National Association for Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO). Her companies consistently ranked in the "Top 50 Employment Services In Western New York" by Business First each year from 1999 through 2001.

Ms. Shagla additionally served as the Co-Chair of the Economic Development and Jobs Action Task Force Committee and Chair for the Community Advisory Group for the City of Jamestown Strategic Planning and Partnerships Commission from 2003 through 2005. She was also one of 6 founding members of the Human Resources Services Network (HRSN), which is a consortium of regional industry groups and professional service providers focused on assisting life sciences organizations within the Buffalo Niagara region by providing efficient access to coordinated human resources services and expertise. Ms. Shagla also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Southwestern Central School District for 2 years (2003 - 2005) located in Jamestown, New York. She currently resides in Holland, New York with her husband, Joseph Strzelec.
